Spirulina Energy Bites by Emma Ryan

An on-the-go snack to keep you energized and satisfied! You will love these, especially if you have just a little bit of a sweet tooth but don’t want so consume any refined sugars. These little guys may be addicting, but they are filling, easy, and nutritious!

Emma is an integrative nutrition health coach and raw food chef, who works with individuals for 3-6 month programs in order to coach them to lead a healthier lifestyle. When she was first transitioned to a vegan lifestyle at the age of 17, she was quickly introduced to the magic of Spirulina. Earthrise Californian Spirulina was her first purchase, and it still keeps its’ place in her pantry today.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Place all ingredients into a food processor and process on high until well combined and a dough mixture has formed. It may take several minutes. Once done, it should be a thick dough that sticks together.

  2. Using your hands, roll dough into small bite-sized energy bites.

  3. Store in the freezer for 2-3 months or in the refrigerator for 2 weeks. I typically store mine in a large freezer-safe ziplock bag in the freezer and take them out as needed.
